In our society people always want to associate “giving up” or “raising the white flag” with weakness. They want to say that if you “throw in the towel” or “tap out” that you’re a wimp.

However, when it comes to God, these rules don’t apply. If you surrender to God you don’t stop living. Truth be told, that’s when you start living.

To give up, raise the white flag, throw in the towel, or tap out is not weakness.

  1. It’s just submitting yourself to a higher power. It’s understanding that there is someone bigger, badder, better, smarter, and wiser that’s out there.

  2. It’s understanding that you’re not the biggest dog on the porch.

  3. It’s understanding that you don’t know what’s best.

And here is the irony that comes with

surrendering to God. When you surrender to Him, you’re not weak! When you surrender to Him you’re strong! When you surrender to Him you gain strength and purpose for this life.

So if you really want to change the world, if you really want to find purpose in this life, if you really want to make an impact, if you really want to live a life that’s worth living, if you really want to be used by God then it takes TOTAL SURRENDER!

Before Jesus turned this world upside down he gave these words to God:

“...not my will, but yours be done.” (Luke 22:42 NIV)

What would happen if 1,000 students gave those words to God? I think by God’s grace we just might turn homes, churches, and communities upside down!

So throw in the towel, tap out, give up, raise the white flag.

Let’s give it all to God!

Let’s change the world!

See you in June!
